It was a double celeâ€" bration, it also being her grandâ€" ‘daugfiter Brenda‘s twelfth birthâ€" day. s Present were her three sons, John, Lloyd, from Richmond Hill, and Tom, with their wives, and seven grandchildren, nephew Everett Meek, from Ajax, and greatâ€"niece Tracy Meek. Christmas at the George Reed‘s home on Penhurst Ave., was a happy and thrilling occasion. Home with them for the holiday were their son Don, with his wife and two children, from Picâ€" ton, and in the.midst of the exâ€" citement, Mr. and Mrs. Reid beâ€" came grandparents of a baby boy, their eighth grandchild, born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reed of Rexdale, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Gillie, Amâ€" bleside Ave., had as their house guests for New Year, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Gillie, from Cornwall, and Mr. and Mrs. Philip Rayâ€" mond with their two daughters, from Thorold. Home to celebrate the festive season with her mother, Mrs. A. Lennon, Coney Road, were her daughter and sonâ€"inâ€"law, Mr. and Mrs. David Gray, Halifax. Miss Vicki Grainger is enterâ€" tfining two guests during the holiday vacation. With her is Miss Annette and Miss Paula Clough, natives of Jamaica, who are stuâ€" dents at the University of Toronâ€" to. It is the first time the younâ€" ger girl has seen snow, and she is thrilled with the sleighing and skating the girls are enjoying. _ Mr. and Mrs, H. Warner, Vicâ€" toria Harbor, are exchanging greetings with many of their friends in the Lakeshore and disâ€" trict, and visiting with their three daughters and their famiâ€" lies. They are residing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Edâ€" mond, ~(daughter June) while the latter are enjoying a vacation in Florida. ~ On Sunday twenty members of the family gathered for a party in honor of Mr. Warner‘s seventyâ€" first birthday. Friends and neighbors of Mr. Robert Pattison, Stephen Dr., are happy to learn that he is reâ€" cuperating at home after being hospitalized in Queensway Genâ€" eral Hospital. Mrs. Pattison has asked us to convey her heartfelt thanks to all who were so kind and generous to her during his illness. Mr. and Mrs. C. Eaton, Coney Rd., were "at home" to many of their friends and neighbors on New Year‘s Eve.
