MTRCA Elects Officers For 1964 At Annual Meeting The 1964 *annual meeting of the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority held at the York Township municipal offices last Friday saw the election of officers to the nine advisory boards and apâ€" pointment of members. The score seesawed throughâ€" out the game as John Ritchie sent Etobicoke to the front at 15:15 of the first period. He was parked on Weston netminâ€" der Stu Chapman‘s doorstep. Bob McGuinn made the goal possible with a shot to Chapâ€" man blocked but Ritchie nailed the rebound on the edge of the goal crease and Chapman had no chance. Ken Dryden in the Indian nets was having a good night and it wasn‘t until Jocko Ptashâ€" nik managed to get the puck past him at 3:17 of the second period that the Dodgers again appeared to look capable of winâ€" ning. Jago sent the Dodgers to the front at 5:33 but Bob Mcâ€" The teams used their bodies to slow down the opposition and the heavy checking had players on both clubs keeping a wary eye on their opponents Both teams set an almost unâ€" believable pace for the first ten minutes that had the crowd in a constant uproar and then the speed eased off just slightly and never regained it‘s fever pitch but it was still an exciting efâ€" fort. The second surprise was the one sidedness of the shots on goal. Weston had a wide 36 â€" 14 edge. Even the Weston statistiâ€" cian did a double take and reâ€" checked his figures. Layton‘s chance came in the second period when he strongâ€" ly protested a charging penalty to Bob McGuinn ani was slap ped with a ten minute misconâ€" duct penalty. He rushed the refâ€" eree, brandishing his stick as a war club but stopped short of hitting him as he was restrainâ€" ed by teammates and was forâ€" tunate not to have his misconâ€" duct increased. Etobicoke coach Danny Lewâ€" icki and defenceman | Howie Layton blasted referee Gord Fevereau in between the first and second periods for what, in their opinion, was poor officiaâ€" ting.
