Three of many Etobicoke young people comir Christmas holidays are Judith Hanson, King David Brown, Ainsley Gdns.; and Doug Nichols, This trio flew in Thursday night from Sackvil wick, where they are attending Mount Allison U Mr. and Mrs. George Schell, Prince George Drive, arrived home last Tuesday in time to spend Christmas with their family, after four months of travel in far away places. Their first stop was Honolulu; then a long hop to Auckland, New Zealand. Here they joined friends and the two couples spent nine days touring the North Island. They speak of the lovely beaches there where there‘s swimming for nine months of the year! They were in Melbourne, Australia for the Caulfield Cup race. All business comes to a standstill that week! From Melbourne they drove down through the cattle grazing, and the citrous fruit growing areas to Adelaide for a few days. After driving along the coast to Sydney they holidayed at a resort hotel near there for a week. They flew to Hong Kong, where they enjoyed more than a week of shopping and sightâ€"seeing. They report more apartments being built there than it is possible to imagine. On to Tokyo, and from there, home, nonâ€"stop. To be with their little granddaughter, Nancy, for her very first Christmas, and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Arnold, West Deane Park Drive, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Allen are coming from Ottawa. Humber Valley I.O.D.E. members met at the home of their regent, Mrs. George F. Watts for their annual Christmas luncheon. Mrs. Peter Millard convened the party. Announcement was made of their Dessert Bridge to be held at the Skyline Hotel on Wednesday, January 20, for which tickets may be secured from Mrs. R. H. Burrows. Mrs. Albert T. Pearson, Appleby Court, was the hostess when the Deborah Unit of St. James Islington United Church Women met for their Christmas pot luck luncheon. 19 members enjoyed this party which was followed by a brief business meetâ€" ing, presided over by unit leader, Mrs. N.
