Doreen is a shapely, multi- talented young lady whose love of horses has made her many friends among the track crowd. She is a fine performer, with a well balanced show of songs, humour and dancing. An Evening Out... with Roger Doris presenting a bright, colorful programme of precision marching, fancy strutting and baton skills. The Toronto 400 Lions Drum Line will accompany the marching. Special guests for the evening will be the men's chorus of the Queen City Harmonizers, who sing in 'barbershop style'. If anyone is driving up to the cottage area, I would recommend dropping in and saying hello to Jessie and Harry, they are sure to give you a hearty welcome. +++ Paul Beattie is another local entertainer who has enjoyed much success in area of Metro. He is currently appearing at the Oakdale Tavern, on Oakdale just north of Sheppard, first east of High- way 400. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw are originally from England where they ran a pub of their own. They intend to take the Gamebridge Inn which is on Highway 12 and 48at the Trent Canal, and turn it into a typical English Pub. He has a fine duo that has played in many of the clubs in this end of the city. As well as entertaining he runs his own music studios and teaches students. Many of the regular patrons of the Pub at the Skyline Hotel were absent this past Saturday night, although through no fault of the hoiel.
