O“ tlt A “Preview Night" held on Tuesday, July 6 at Airwoman Park attracted, quite l large group of spectators. Booths were set up by various groups trom our area. Hot dogs were sold by the ladies of St. Davids Anglican Church. The Gracefield Ave., public school play- ground display consisted of egg carton caterpillars, paper bag masks and God's Eyes, some of the crafts the children had made. Amesbury Sports Club showed pictures of their hockey, baseball and soccer teamsandanartclass which meets at Hardington Public School displayed a number of paintings. . Commedia '71 is a group of students from York Univer- sity who perform a number of short plays. This energetic group of talented young actors were dressed in colorful tights and leotards. The props, set designs and costumes were all made by members of the cast. They will tour a number of parks in North York and Etobicoke and then travel to Chicago to perform later this summer. Old and young alike thoroughly enjoyed their fast moving, comical acts. Afterwards a group of girls from the Toronto - Dufferin Lions Majorette Corps, dressed in attractive pink and silver costumes, per- formed some of their routines including twirling flaming buttons.
