Page $â€"The Weston York Timesâ€"Thursday, August 12, 1971 The topic of conversation these days is the new and exciting cocktail lounge on the lower level of the Downtowner Motor Inn. Known as Attila‘s Cave, this lounge is certainly worthy of the amount of talk and publicity that it is getting. The lounge is decorated in the Barbaric Hun motif and is named after Attila the Hun. The walls of the room have a realistic cave apâ€" pearance, complete with skulls, swords and shields. From the ceiling hangs medieval pennants and war flags. There is three dance floors in the Cave, one on each end of the lounge and another larger one in front of the stage. The larger dance floor is made of transparent glass with pulsating lights on the underside. These lights flash in thythm with the music. At each end of the room there is a large screen that has continuously changing pictures of various nude and semiâ€"nude scenes. Performing on one of the largest stages in any night club in Canada, is the Cali Mara, a group led by Jimmy Mancell. Along one side of the room opposite the stage, is a long winding stool bar with over An evening out DINING *#A DANCING with Roger Doris 40 seats. The entire lounge has seating for 400 persons. Attila‘s Cave is swinging without a doubt, it is made to order for the young and the young at heart. Let‘s hope that management can crack down right from _ the beginning and not let the "wayâ€"outs‘‘ gain control, turning it into a trouble spot like so many lounges of similar style has done over the years. As long as a certain modicum of decorum is maintained, Attila‘s Cave will be a fun place and a meeting spot for hundreds of swingers for a long time to come. ++ 4+ Jose Peneira‘s Trio conâ€" tinues to build their regular dance crowd in the Conâ€" stellation Hotel‘s Banyan Terrace from (pm to 1 a.m. nightly.)
