At the falls they saw the Rhodesian boarder bridge, While at Victoria Falls Larry and Dianna watched traditional tribal dances and Larry has a picture of a witch doctor after he had finished one of his dances which shows the witch doctor is hanging in the air at the top of a tall pole. Larry was interested in how they produce hot water for the guests. They have brick fireplaces with 45 gallon drums over top and they pump the water into the lodges. Dianna says you‘re lucky if you can get back to the lodge in time to have a hot shower. It is the first thing most guests run for when they return from long drives through the jungle. All lodges in the jungles are built by â€"natives. They serve North American food and most are quite modern. But natives still live in grass and mud huts. There is electric lighting in the lodges run by generators but lights go out around 10 o‘clock each night ' After a week at the lodge, Larry and Dianna took six hour drive through the jungle and back to Lusaka then Livingston, named after the world famous Dr. Livingston, to Victoria Falls where they spent a week at the Musiâ€"oâ€"Tunya Hotel, 200 yards from the falls. The hotel was really ultra modern with swimming pools and each day the Snow‘s took tours of the area. FULL and PARTIAL DENTURES DIRECT TO THE PUBLIC DENTURE REPAIRS & RELINES. From here Larry and Dianna went on dayâ€"long safari to see and photograph tobi, elephant, water buck, lions, baboons, water hogs, impala, and giraffe. They flew to Italy where they spent two days and a night seeing Rome. From Rome they flew to Lusaka, Zambia, to a small landing strip called Msuwe. After lunch they proceeded by Land Rover on a six hour drive through the jungle to spend a week at Luamfwa Lodge, in the Luangwa Valley. The Lodge is built on the Luamfwa River and can only be reached by barge handâ€"pulled < by natives across the river. WESTON DENTURE CLINIC 1913 Weston Road, Werion * Mr. and Mrs. Larry Snow, or Yore Road, have recently returned from a very inâ€" ‘teresting and informative month‘s honeymoon in the jJungles of Africa. Larry, last year was head coach of the minor bantam division of the Bert Robinson Minor Hockey League. He married his assistant head â€" coach, Dianna Carey. They were married Saturday, June 30 and started off on the escapade Sunday, July 1. 244â€"0705 Member of the Denturist Society of Ontario African safari unique The Zambian National Tourist Bureau ‘provided transportation for Larry and Dianna to anywhere they wanted to go. They were met He said he had married a beautiful native girl but in order to marry her he had to give her father cows, hens, pigs, and money and he had to pay for everything his bride broke or any money she had cost her father since birth. Larry was talking to a young Lusaka native who spoke English who told him that weddings are expensive. Victoria Falls, one of the wonders of the world, are higher than Niagara Falls. After spending a week Larry and Dianna returned to Lusaka, for a few days in the city. All the cities are quite modern. _ They have television, usually only one station, which â€" broadcasts from about 5 to 11 p.m. each day. There are a couple of radio stations but most broadcasting is in the Swahili native tongue. The tribes have their own languages and have retained old customs. In the jungle, all communication is by shortwave radio only. Larry says you could feel the tension and there were times when they were frightened. but were not allowed to cross it. Larry climed a tree to take a picture of the bridge spanning the gorge and he pointed out about where the Canadian girls were shot. After he and Dianna had climbed the tree to see the view they were told they shouldn‘t have and that they could have been shot. The Ngorongoro Lodge, 7600 feet above sea level was the next stop. The Snows were taken down into Ngorongore crater where they had a pinic. The crater is full of small soda lakes filled with a mass of pink flamingo. Here they also say Hyaena, rhinoceros, and a male black maned lion. Ikoma Lodge is very old, it was originally a german fort in World War One. Here they stayed in a grass hut. On one of the drives they lunched at Serengeti Lodge which is built right in a rock. From the Masaiâ€"Mara Reserve they crossed into Tanzania to the Serengeti National Park where they stayed at Ikoma Lodge. They found that there was lots of fresh fruit available and things were much cheaper than in Zambia. Larry and Dianna went on safari in Kenya with a first stop was at Keekorok Lodge, famous place because royalty goes there. It is situated in the Masaiâ€"Maraâ€" Reserve. The Mosai tribe have long earlobes, so long, in fact, that Larry and Dianna saw a native wrap his lobe around the top of his ear and tape it so it wouldn‘t flap in the breeze as they were driving along. From Zambia the Snows went to Nairobi, Kenya where they stayed at the Panafric Hotel. They found Nairobi cool and were asked not to go out on the streets at night. They were informed that if they had to go out the hotel would send them by and delivered back to the airport. Tomorrow they move into their new home which will have a lot of beautiful hand carvings they bought on their trip. They figured they spent fortyâ€"two hours of their trip in the air. It was Dianna‘s first experience in flying. From Amboseli Lodge Larry and Dianna were taken back to Nairobi for their return to Toronto. Before leaving for their trip to Africa Larry and Dianna had to take imâ€" munization shots and during their stay they took pills to prevent malaria. Dianna had her picture taken beside a seven foot ant hill to show just how high they are. From here they crossed back to Kenya to the Amboseli Lodge at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. From here they went on to Arusha, Tanzania where they spent overnight. There is nothing much in Arusha, with the exception of an old trading post which is active in the daytime with the local tribal business. It is also a starting point for hunting and photographic safari‘s. They were taken to Lake Manyara to the Lake Manyara Hotel for a one night stay. This is also a national park, famous for its treeâ€"climbing lions. From the crater they went to the Olduvai Gorge. The gorge is quite famous since the skull of a man, which may be at least one and three quarters million years old, was found. RCOM AIR CONDITIONERS MFGS.
