They are the Stonemans and come from a musical family that dates back to 1924. The Stonemans are all part of one family that descended from the original en- tertaining Stoneman, Ernest V (pop) Stoneman. who passed away on June 14. 1968 at the age of 75. He started entertaining in 1924 and aised a family that totalled . All of the family were v . enthusiastic about music and took to it seriously. Pop Stoneman cut hun- dreds of records and Edison cylinders during those early days, and some of them sold into the millions. " _ The group he formed later with his children went on to attain wide acclaim among country music fans. Since his passing. the present quintet of Stonemans have made it big in the field of television, night clubs and recording. The Stonemans are always in great demand and their appearance at Adam's Rib starting this Monday is just another example of the great entertainment that is available in the area. +++ A very nice duo comprised of Danny Ray and Dianne Forsyth and billed as Sugar n'Spice. is ending their return gig at Georges Italian Villa on Bloor Street West at Royal York Road, this week. Their versatility allows them to present music for all tastes. out with Roger Doris Dianne has an exciting 'Barbra Streisand' type voice and has sung on television and in most of the top lounges including the Royal York Hotel.
