Two successful rummage sales were held in our area last weekend. Our Lady of Last week I mentioned a physical fitness program for; ladies sponsored by the borough's parks and recreation department. Well, the men also have one. The recreation department if offering a variety of sports, games and opportunities to exercise at your own speed at two schools in the borough. The program runs each Monday evening at Vaughan Road Collegiate and Tuesday evenings at Run- nymede Collegiate from 7 to 10 p.m. Program starts October 15 and registration is $12 for the season or 75 cents an evening. Fee for the 10 week program is $7.50 and in.. cludes baby sitting and coffee. Registration will take place October 9 at 1 p.m. If you can’t make this registration date another will be offered October 23. Everyone is welcome to attend these interesting af- ternoons designed for housewives. Since the group began last year it has grown considerably. Saturday, October 13 is the date for the rummage sale being held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Eglinton Avenue and Weston Road. Time 10 a.m. until noon. Congratulations to Jack and Carol Doyle. Glenhaven Street, on the arrival of their first son. Jay will be well taken care of by sisters Lisa, Carla and Lorna.
