Box 259 Two motor'cars and a horse and buggy figured in a nasty accident Sat- urday afternoon on Main Street, just opposite, Mr. E, Redmond's. A car, travelling south with three occupants, turned out to pass a horse and rig going in the same direction and did not notice a. car coming up street, and crashed into it, with the result that the northbound car was turned over on its side. The four persons who were in the car, two gentlemen, a lady and small boy, crawled out from under the wreckage, all escaping in- jury with the exception of one man who had his face cut with the glass, from the broken windshield., The car was badly damaged, the top, typolt- en, front axle twisted and had to be taken to the garage for repairs, the party who were on their way to spend the 24th with Owen Sound friends taking the radial back to the city. The other' car was also wit out ot commission and had to be towed section. The "people living about Main Street' North have taken u. pride in keeping their boulevard well trimmed and cleaned up. These men come along. leave their ties, dig out the soil, throw it all over the boulevard, leave all their clippings and old spikes and old ties, it sdtneone does not take them, on the boulevards. How can (any person be expected to take an in- terest and keep his place clean? The company and their employees should be given to understand that when re- pairs are being made to the tracks some care must be taken to see that they do not spoil the boulevard or the lawns.
