The Old Presbyterian Chureh was filled to overflowing on Tuesday last, when the many friends gathered with them to rejoice in the completion of their task of renovations and improveâ€" ments to their church, the interior of which ‘has been . greatly improved with its softâ€"toned tints and colorings on the walls of both schoolroom and church auditorium. . Supper was comâ€" menced sharp on the time announced and although the ladies serving were most efficient, and worked arduously, the clock had sounded the hour of nine before the last table had been seated, with so many changes those in charge are to be congratulated on the appearance of their tables, these being reset with: an abundance of good things from time to time, and were most appetizing and satisfying to all, who partook of their hospitalâ€" ity. During the evening, the orchesâ€" tra, under the leadership of Mr.. Strickland, gave a number of excellent ‘ selections, and a\lso gave the opening . number on the musical programme,. which, provided the evening‘s proâ€" gramme. ‘,Mrs‘ Dillon, of.
