Fretz, had a display in his winâ€" dow last week which surpassed all former exhibits of its kind. It was a threeâ€"storey bridal cake and it was a most elaborate piece of sugar work. It really showed what can be done by a master hand and also that we have | the opportunity jof getting that in ‘"town which we very often see only in the city. ? . There has been considerable said in these columns regarding the imâ€" portant place that the boys and girls of our community hold in our lives. There has been ‘considerable effort put forth by various men. There has been much . accomplished, but not what might have been accomplished lad there been a strong, well organâ€" ized group behind the boy and the girl. The individual work is necesâ€" sary. The united work or community work well directed can accomplish a lot more. To give our boys the opportunity there should be a strong committee of men in this town willâ€" ing to get in behind our boys and give them the benefits that should be theirs. What opportunity bhave our boys to learn to play all games. Laâ€" crosse is made the great game and should hold first place. Still boys are adapted for all kinds of sports. We should give them the opportunity of getting some development along all the different lines, What about runâ€" ning, jumping, racing, football, tennis, baseball, soft ball, and so on? Why, the boys in this townâ€" haven‘t a chance. If the men who are leading boys and those who have the future citizenship of this country at heart will only unite there can be put across a program that will build up our boys. Let us do this and thus make a great use of our opportunities.
