The heavy electric storm which swept the town on Monday afternoon cut off electric power for a short time and disconnected several telephones, but otherwise no damage was reported. After a lingering illness, Annie Skelâ€" ton, beloved wife of Mr. Skeiton, of Weston, passes in her 39th year. She is survived by her husband and four children. Mr. A. M. Barton planted the town hall flower bed this week, using some very fine cannas for the purpose, also filling the vases with bright blooming plants and creeping vines. This adds greatly to the appearance of the town‘s municipal grounds. Wm. McCartney, son of Mrs. Gamble of Mount Dennis, was drowned in Hamilton Bay last Friday. He had gone bathing in the afternoon and it is supâ€" posed he contracted a chill from the cold water. He was 21 years of age. Elgin Kellam, one of the most promâ€" inent farmers in the community, died at his home in Smithfield last Friday, in his 39th year. He was a son of Isaac Kellam and was born at Highfield. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Ada Fletcher, one daughter, his father, one sister and four brothers. At last water mains are being laid along Weston Road.
