Continued from page 1â€"â€" It is easy enough to be happy When life goes on with a song. . | But the man worth while j Is the man who can smile, ;‘ When everything goes dead| ‘ wrong. . The storms of life may greatly strengthen a man if his anchor holds. If it does not he may go down with a crash. One of the joys of my boyhood days was the family rowâ€" bost. It was kept in good anchorage just off the shore of my father‘s farm by the Atlantic ocean. In fair weather it was easy enough to weigh anchor and be off. After a severe storm, such as often swept that coast, it was a difficult task to lift that same anchor from the {heavy clay in which it had embedded kimlf. In the calm, or during a gentle breeze, there was little strain on the anchor, but when storm lashâ€" ed the waters, waves beat against the boat, the pull on the anchor became stronger and stronger in direct proportion to the fierceness } of the storm. The anchor took a ifirmer hold and the boat was safe. The living Christ is for us entered within the veil and, says the Apostle, our hope in Him is an anchor sure and steadfast. When storms of temptation, sorrow, disappointment beat against the soul our hope, as the anchor, may take a firmer and firmer hold upon Him who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Those who, like the robin, are able to sing in the storm do much to strengthen the faith and courage of those who have hope enough to build ‘!or the future, though in the midst of present adverse cireumatances. 1 saw the suffering Lamb of God, sunha{i:onflisCm; Suspended high above the world, Gu%nfln-m.m The ering Saviour still looks Upon a world of sin; Men crucify Him every dayâ€" Abhwy have no roomi for Dear of God on Calvary, Come down and save us here!
