On Friday, Nov. 10 a very imâ€" gressive Memorial Service was eld at the Emery Public School grounds, where there is a Memoâ€" rial for the World War 1 solâ€" diers. The flag was at half mast and the pupils from classes Grade 4 to Grade 8 were marched out to the grounds by their teacher, Miss E. Farris, and then the classes 1, 2 and 3 grades came into the school grounds, with Mrs. Macâ€" Donald, teacher. There were quite a number of friends and neighbours from Humber Summit in attendâ€" ance, Mr, W. Symes kindly gave his time and truck for transportaâ€" tion of these neighbours. Mr. Root took the service, Cpl. R. Lockhart placed the wreath on memorial, Cpl. 0. Truman, who has just reâ€" turned from overseas, Mr. H.
