I went out to this beautiful little church for the Easter morning service and feel compelled to tell others about it. The sun‘s radiance shone through magnificent _ windows to caress the Easter lilies, the daffodils, the blue carpet, the light pews, the glistening white cloth on the comâ€" munion table, the choir‘s robes, the golden hair of a child, and the s1lâ€" vering hair of the minister. Yet this beauty need not to have been visible. It could have been felt in the spirit of resurrection that perâ€" meated the church. This congregaâ€" tion and choir do not shout their praises to God; they sing and speak in tones of quiet holiness and sereâ€" nity, confident that God is there in the midst to listen. All temporal things, however, faded from notice as I watched the minister; with deep reverence in every act, perâ€" form the simxle but beautiful rites of the low Anglican service, and utter a truly Godâ€"inspired message of the "third day triumph." And, although I deem it presumptuous on the part of any layman to pass judgment on a minister, 1 hope I may be forgiven for adding that this man impressed me as being a true servant of God, Needless to say, in that House of Prayer I found more than ficomer of Engâ€" land. I found a "ittle shrine in which all those at peace with God and their fellow men may feel they are very close to the Throne of Grace. â€" The Burmese _government has given Princess Elizabeth a neckâ€" lace "made from the finest rubies obtainable from the ruby mines at Mogok" in upper Burma. i se s THE CANADIAN BANK OF COMMERCE THE income of many Canadians will be increased this spring byâ€" > * The refund of the Compulsory Savings portion of their 1942 Income Tax. * The falling due each month of War Savings Certiâ€" ficates. & KEEP these funds on deposit with us until you have accumulated enough to purchase one or more Canada Savings Bonds in $50 or higher denominations.
