Rally day service at Elmiea Bapâ€" tist Church last Sunday were very eneouraging in both attendance and Anterest, in spite of heavy storms just at service time. Next Sunday a celebration of the Holy Communion will be observed, being the fourth Sunday in the month. It is hoped to have our Harvest Thanksgiving service on Sunday, Oct. 2. Rev. Stackhouse of St. Matthews, Islington, will be the special speaker. Sunday School at*St, Andrew‘s on Sunday proved very interesting: Mrs. Peach gave a talk on "The Kingdom." Rev. T. B. Butler paid a surprise visit and told a story to the boys and girls entitled "The Bird and the Tree." Sunday School begins session at 1.45 p.m. each Sunday and we will be glad to welâ€" come any new members. Mrs. Berrill attended a Scripture Union convention on Saturday last, meeting the various secreâ€" taries of many towns. Mrs. Bervill re ported a most enjoyable convention.
