Each contestant had a preâ€" pared speech to make, limited at five minutes, then an impromptu speech limited at three minutes. Several pupils and teachers from Weston senior school were present. Many playâ€" ers touched the ball before Stanâ€" kaitas put a blazing shot into the Humberview goal, Humber Height 3, White Sox 0 Humber Heights elected to kick off and sent the ball far into White Sox end. The Humber‘ Heights team pressed on the White Sox goal continually but could not score as the White Sox defence was holding out well. White Sox were held in their own end threeâ€" quarters of the half, Humber Heights were at last driven out and White Sox started to go but found the opposition‘s defence and goalie too hard to beat. On a quick rush Humber Heights finally scored with Dixie Rhodes putting it past Ralph Wilson. The first half ended with the score 1â€"0 in favor of Humâ€" ber Heights. Early in the second half Rhodes again scored for Humber Heights. White Sox were held in their own end most of the second half. After a quick rush by White Sox had been stopped, Humber Heights put a neat shot past astonished Wally Beech. White Sox fought back hard but could not get it past the Humber Heights goalie.
