Mrs. Lynch gave deâ€" tails of the questionnaire that hadâ€"been presented to the people of the community. The report also dwelt at some length on the acute need of recreational facilities. Nine frames of euchre were played and between each frame small prizes were given to the holders of lucky number cards. The winners‘ were: 1st prize, Mrs. R. Jackson; 2nd prize, Mrs. Fuller; 3rd prize, Mrs. Watkins, and low score winner, Mrs. E. Carson. CHRISTMAS PARTY Friday night Santa Claus came to the Junior Sunday School of St. Andrew‘s Church. Several films were shown and the children presented plays and a sing song suitable to the fesâ€" tive season. Santa distributed the â€" gifts from around a very gaily decâ€" orated tree and all the small children went home tired and thrilled. Saturday night the Senior Sunday School held its Christâ€" mas party. Some very entertainâ€" ing films were shown, especially the one entitled, "The Little Christmas Tree." N. Washburn, Bell Telephone manager for this area, announcâ€" ed this week. It will be located on Old Malâ€" ton Road opposite the ‘AV. Roe engine plant. The contractors for the building are Hughesâ€" Richards Limited of Toronto. The building will be of brick and stone trim and its dimenâ€" sions will be 86 by 39 feet. It will be designed for the addition of an extension to the r@ar to provide for growth. , The building, when completed, will initially house facilities to serve 1,800 telephones and its eventual capacity will be exâ€" change equipment for 3,700 teleâ€" phones. Construction of the building will be completed next summer when installation of the complex dial switching equipment will get under way.
