Reverend H. W. Surâ€" divall conducted the service. This week‘s theme "Honesty" was inspired by John Neil, anm attendant at Senior Boys‘ Proâ€" gramme who fourd a large sum of money and was honest enough to return it to the rightâ€" ful owner. Release Dates Ontario Fairs WORSHIP SERVICEâ€"July 22nd MERRILL PLAYGROUND Marg Ashford, Carol Ineson, . _ Doug Britton, Supervisors The big event last week om Merrill playground was the "On Wheels Parade", with 150 chilâ€" dren participating. Prizes were awarded for the bestâ€"dressed buggy, tricycle and bicycle, and movies wound up the evening. During the hot spell the children enjoyed quiet games and singâ€" songs. A baseball team is being organized for competition with other playfiunds. WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTION Nancy Carroll, Marjorie Hagem, Sandra Johanson, Instructors The second week of swimâ€" ming instruction saw a slight increase in attendance with the very hot weather. The children are practicing very hard for the coming swimming tests to be held on Thursday, July 28. Red Cross tests will be held for beâ€" ginners, juniors, intermediates and seniors. HOLLEY PLAYGROUND Evelyn MacDonald, Dianne Ainslie, Supervisors Last week at Holley playâ€" ground a baseball team was formed; soccer was also formed. Tuesday was swiming day and after water safety instruction, the children enjoyed a picnie lunch in Pelmo park. Wheelâ€" barrow, _ shoe kicking, â€" shoe scramble d running races were held. The week‘s activities also j ed such crafts as masks, paper canoes, plasâ€" tic bracelets, finger painting and colouring. On Wednesday a checker tournament ~was held and won by Jim Sainsbury and Hartway Fisher. Thursday saw big preparations being made for the Penny Carnival to be held the next afternoon.
