Buy Cookies Highlights ‘Fhe first meeting of the new season of the Women‘s Christian Temperance Union was held at the home of Mrs. Ray Best, the president. wCTU HOLDS FIRST MEETING OF SEASON A very fine poem, "Lord, I Am Thine", written by Rev. Trimble was used by Mrs. Best to open the meeting. This was followed by prayer. The minutes were read by Mrs. Plunkett and the financial report was ‘prtsented by Mrs. Hunter. Fees for the 1955â€"56 season were due, it was anâ€" nounced. After various items of business â€" were discussed, Rev. Olivia Lindsay led in a very inspiring devotional service. Miss Lindsay emphasized the faithfulness and the zeal of her friends in Japan where she served for many years as a misâ€" sionary. Mrs. Kennedy showed two films from the Moody School of Science.
