Canadian Violinist Excels In Weston Goncert Finale On Saturday evening the final concert of the 1959â€"60 series of the Weston Concert Association was held in Weston Collegiate auditorium. The guest artist was Donna Grescoe, violinist, accomâ€" panied by John Coveart. Miss Grescoe is a young Cana~ dian, a native of Winnipeg, who has won many prizes and scholarâ€" ships and who is now a resident of New York City. One merely touches the surface by saying that Miss Grescoe is a talented artist. With her charm and stage presence she soon capâ€" tivated her large audience. This was no mean feat, as she began her program with the Kreisler ‘"Praeludium and Allegro" «and went straight into the Tschaikowâ€" sky "Violin Concerto." This work is one which presents many pitâ€" falls for the unwary and can beâ€" come a boring exhibition if the artist is unable to "get it across" to the audience. The prolonged applause at the end of the first movement was testimony to Miss Grescoe‘s success with her Wesâ€" ton audience.
