KINSMEN CLUB OF HUMBER VALLEY Held their first social last Saturday in the form of a weiner roast, at the home of Dan and Doris Ryback. All proceeds from this event to the Convention Fund. The resolution, passed by Oakville reads: ‘‘Whereas considerable vandalâ€" ism resulting in damage and destruction to public buildings appears to be general throughâ€" 2 Weston Residents Win Prizes Two Weston residents have won prizes in a nationâ€"wide conâ€" test sponsored by Champion Spark Plug Company. Named 1ith place winners in the huge contest were Jas. Nuâ€" gent, Toronto Hospital and W. R. Elley, Bay and Cumberland. Both won fishing rods and reels during Champion‘s recent ‘‘Vacation of a Lifetime" conâ€" test â€" which offered motorists an opportunity to win a luxuriâ€" ous airliner for two weeks as a grand prize. Mr. Nugent qualified as a winâ€" ner when, during the six week long contest period he drove his car into Maceys Esso Service for a spark plug check, filled out an entry blank and completed the last line of a simple jingle. He felt that it should be enâ€" dorsed, but with the recommenâ€" dation that it include all buildâ€" ings, a suggestion that was apâ€" proved of by Councillor Perry. ‘‘This is the sort of thing that we don‘t seem to be bothered with in this municipality", comâ€" mented Mayor Bull. Councillor Ted Ault felt that| the resolution should be en-’ dorsed in its present form withâ€" out "further embellishment We didn‘t initiate the resoluâ€" tion, so let‘s not try to change t". The resolution was endorsed by Council, and copies will be forwarded to Councils of other municipalities in Ontario, the Ontario Municipal Association, the Mayors and Reeves Associaâ€" tion, the School Trustees Assocâ€" iation, and the Department of Municipal Affairs. What you are four Bucks in the hole? _ It looks as if Kathy Spruce and Greig Warrian are hitting it off in high "C" after a little rumble.
