With the coming of another MINOR HOCKEY WEEK IN CANâ€" ADA we of the. Weston Minor Hockey League can look back over seventeen years of satisfaction .. . . this satisfaction coming from an rganization starting with four teams and growing to eight Leagues. fe‘nbracing thirtyâ€"two teams with boys from 7 to eighteen years of age. The latter age group, Juveniles, was added six years ago. Our four Weston Metro teams form our eighth League and play a regular schedule with outside organizations in the West Metro League. To the following we wish to express our thanks for their generous contributions from an advisory standpoint and a financial one: The rewarding part of this community project. providing hockey for the youth of Weston and District, is the enthusiastic way in which the boys themselves take part. We know they are getting exercise. both physically and mentally, but we hope that our program is a majâ€" or factor in keeping Weston from having a delinquent problem. A boy is a person who is going to carry on what YOU have started. He is going to sit at your desk in the Senate, and occupy your place on the Supreme Bench. He is to sit right where you are sitting and attend to those things you think are so important, when you are gone. He will assume control of your cities, states and nations ; your prisons, churches, schools, universitiee and corporaâ€" tions. You may adopt all the policies you please, but how they will be carried out depends on him. Even if you make leagues and treaties, he will have to manage them. All your work is going to be judged and praised or conâ€" demned by him â€" or because of him. Your reputation and your future are in his hands. All your work is for him, and the fate of the nation and humanâ€" ity is in his hands. So it might be well to pay him some attention.
