The marriage is to take place on October 19th. ~ * Mrs. Edward O‘Neill, President of C.W.L., Transfiguration of Our Lord Parish, welcome the members to the first monthly meeting of the fall season on September 10th. The President introduced guest speaker of the evening, Mr. R. D. Haines of the Catholie Rehabilitation Centre. Mr. Haines spoke of the Good Shepherd Refuge in downâ€" town Toronto. He said they looked after the poor and unfortunate jpeople that no one else seems to care about. At the Refuge they are ’given food, clothing and shelter. Run by three brothers, this Refuge provides the necessities for these unfortunate people through charity only and not by Provincial grants. Mr. Haines also played a tape of Father R. L. MacDougall of the Catholic Rehabilitation Centre and the three brothers who run the Refuge, being interviewed. The imembers of the C.W.L. presented |Mr. Haines (for Father MacDougâ€" all) a shower of good used men‘s |clothing and canned goods. Bev Lewis, M.P.P., seeking reâ€" election in Humber, is equally strenuous in his opposition. Deâ€" scribing himself as "one hundred per cent opposed" to amalgamaâ€" tion, Lewis said the people in his riding are also definitely antiâ€" amalgamation. As a charter memâ€" ber of Metro Council, he favors this form of government. AMALGAMATIONâ€"(Continued from p. 1) He also believes amalgamation would cause suburban taxpayers increased financial discomfort. Not committing themselves were the NDP candidates in the southern: ridings. York West‘s Henry Brenâ€" nan, Lakeshore‘s Murray Cotterill and Humber‘s John Whitehouse stated it would not be appropriate to comment until the Goldenberg report was released. The Toronto and District Labor Council, which is socially inclinâ€" ed, has been drumming amalâ€" gamation for years. It is expectâ€" ed that the views of this body will have some bearing on NDP policy. The views of the candidates on amalgamation is an indication of what action those elected will take at Queen‘s Park should amalgamaâ€" tion come before the Legislature. $ 2.00 12.00 HUMBER im provement the following work, SANITARY SEWERS $46,500.00 $49,000.00 $ 2,500.00 Corporation‘s Share of Cost $ 1,114.00 $45,829.00 $44,715.00 BE. 1â€"8181 2930 BLOOR ST. The position of the foot as illustrated in this shoe would be considered a good fit with no pressure against the forefoot from the sides of the shoe, "&" illustrates how much the same foot overlaps in the over styled pointed toe "correct" last. Note how much the large and fifth toe would be compressed â€" a perfect starting point for bunions, hammer toes and ingrown toenails. This type of last will also cause the shoe to lose its shape and roll over the heel much faster, Obviously the "fit life" of this shoe is drastically reduced as there is no room provided in this shape of shoe for growth. : E0 cHEVRO Ey J.
