Board Of Education In NY Loses Respected Trustee Mrs. Pearce was the wife of Charlgs Pearce, 319 Hillerest Ave., Willowdale, and mother of two sons, Ian and Tommy. Elected to the Board of Eduâ€" eation for Ward 3 first in 1956, Mrs. Pearce had given continâ€" uous representation. She receivâ€" ed an acclamation in 1960. Mrs. Pearce was the representative of the North York Board to the Metropolitan School Board in 1960â€"61â€"62 and served on comâ€" mittees of that Board. She also had been Chairman of the Maâ€" nagement Committee and the Property Committee of the North York Board. Active in community affairs, Mrs. Pearce had served as Viceâ€" President of the North York Home & School Council and Preâ€" sident of the Spring Garden & School Association. She was also the representative of the Board of Education to the North York Central Community Council in 1962.
