This week it is our sad duty to chronicle the death of Mrs Ritchie who passed peacefully away last Saturday evening at a ripe old age of 75 years. Mrs Ritchie‘s maiden name was Mar. garet Kelly born in Co. Tyrone, Ireland. in the year 1827. She then came to Canada III the year 1847 and settled in the township of Vaughan for over two years. and then married the late Wm. Ritchie who died over thirteen years ago. They then moved to this part and settled on the farm on which she hyed up to the time of her death. She was a kind and obliging neighbor and loved by all who knew her. The funeral was very largely attend- ed by friends and acquaintances. Her remains were laid to rest in Zion cemetery. Her pastor Rev. Mr, Far. quharson preached a very appropriate sermon at house and grave. The sympathy of the whole community goes out to tho [weaved Ltmly and hiemls. The pall-bearers were all nephews of the deceased, the Ritchie family: James, Thomas. David. Samuel, and Charles in G'lenelg, Wm. in Bentmek.
