The immediate cause of death was the bursting of the jugular vein which could not beeheek- ed Mr Conkey was a resident ot this villagefor about 35 years and was a man that was everybody's favorite. He was of Irish parentage, born and raised at Port Hope, Ontario. He leaves a widow tour sons and two daughters to mourn his loss. The funeral on Thursday to the cemetery in this place was largely attended. Rev Mr Matheson prsached the funeral sermon. Died on Saturday the 26th July, Mr Donald MeDoumud, native of the Isle ot Ulva, Argyleshire, Scotland, at the advanced age of eighty seven years. Mr McDougall came to the south line Glenelg some 50 years ago when it was all bush, and he like many of his fellow countrymen had to endure the trials and inconveniences of the early settler in clearing up the farm and raising a helpless family. Mr McDon- gall’s partner in life died 18 years ago. He was a memberot the Baptist Church and leavesa family of four sons and two daughters to mourn his death. The funeral on Monday the 28th July, was largely attended. The remains were laid torest beside his partner in I Priceville cemetery.
