We are looking forward to having a large attendance and will do all in our power to make the meeting interesting and instructive. Those wishing to join the Institute will haye the privilege of becoming members at the January To the Editor, Durnax REYIEW : An attempt is being made to create some sympathy for the Conseryative Candidate on the ground that he is a poor man and Mr. Muiller is rich. One of the best and most enjoyable meetings of the season was held at the home of Mrs, Wm Hunter, North Egâ€" remont on Oct. 6th, where upwards of twentyâ€"fiye ladies were present. That sour topic * pickling " was very skilfulâ€" lg treated by the President, Mrs. Mcâ€" rirr who introduced the subject by giving a racy little paper reading on "Pickling Time." The discussions were excellent and were heartily taken part in by all presâ€" ent thus makin}’xthe meeting interesting as well as beneficial. It was decided that this meeting be the last for this year, The next meeting will be held in the Durham Town Hall, in January 1905. There is no set topic for this meeting but several of the members have conâ€" sented to prepare papers or give a talk on some important subjects. _ _ meeting. We do rot know whether McKinnon is rich or poor but we do know Mr. Milâ€" ler began life as an office clerk in Durâ€" ham twentyâ€"tive years ago and that whatever money he has he made by his industry and saved by his ecopomy. We belieye that he made every dollar otf it honestly and haye never heard it, even hinted that he did not, He bas never been miserly and what.he has succeeded in making he has invested in South Grey to assist in developing difâ€" ferent industries and in the providing of work for South Grey mechanics and work men, Because a man has been successful in his own business is no evidence that he will be a failure as a member of parâ€" liament, <but rather an evidence to the contrary.
