Mcllraith T1CE Our township Council had a meetâ€" ing last Saturday at the Queon‘s Hotel, Dundalk. There looked to be a little storm brewing between the Council and Officials, but no, Mcâ€" Ardie carried out the Council mesetâ€" ing nicely without a hitch. The cireumstance was as far as we hear, that at the previous meeting a motion to adjourn was made, to meet in the Quezn‘s Hotel, July 6th, at 10 a. m., but as time drew near reports said that it was put back by Lauchlin, the Clerk, to Monday the 8th and that in the minutes of the meeting Qrinted in the Dundalk Herald, the Council adjournment was to meet on the 6th but it was arrangea to have it on the 8th. But our Reeve, Mr Mcâ€" Ardle, not being a subscriber to the Herald knew nothing of this bogus arrangement made by the Clerk and some other that was new in the busiâ€" ness. The day previous to the meetâ€" ing Mr McArdle heard of this piece of work and told two of the Council within reach, that he would carry 0 it the decision of the Council whin in session to meet Saturday, and that he wus eng aged to meet the Reove of Egremost on County businees at a bridge near Cedarville. The Rev. Mr Little, of Holstein, greached here on Sunday the 7th aving exchanged with Rev. Mr Macinnes for the day.
