The year 1908 with its pleasures and pains and its losses and gains is now a matter of history, but everybody is still striving to get pleasure and gain. It is now eight months since we commenced our new system of doing business. Then, wise people shook their heads and business people discussed the matter. It was claimed that we were losing money, or in other words that the people were getting too gocd bargains. In reply we would say that we gave the people good and we intend doing so in 1909 as we did in :908. We do what we say and we do say what we do. Our customers make money through buying from us, and we make money through selling the goods. Our motto for 1908 was m6! SALES AND SMALL PROFITS, the same for 1909. We have an excellent store and most edicient and obliging clerks, and we would cordially invite those who may pot have beep customers to inspect our stock. Five minutes inspection is better dun an hour's description. Good buying means good selling.
