Rowell received the results of the election at the Woodstock Young Liberal Club rooms, and, interviewâ€" ed later in the evening, made the following statement: _ _ _ _ "It is gratifying to find that, notâ€" withstanding the whole weight of the Government forces, aided by the orâ€" ganized liquor interests, we have imâ€" proved our position in the House. For the sake of the policy for which "1 desire to thank the electors of the province who gave us their supâ€" port, and particularly the large body of volunteer workers who have freeâ€" ly given of their time in this conâ€" test. We have brought into the poliâ€" tical affairs of the province a new spirit of public service, and hundreds of men who bhave not hitherto taken we were fighting 1 regret that our gains were not numerous. We were greatly bhandicapped by the short period. we had to prepare for the election.
