However, there is no reason for either one feeling discouraged and in fact neither of them are. Miss Atchison is possessed of ntiring energy and persistence, and as she is widely acquainted in, and for miles around Dromore, there can be no doubt that she will make a supreme effort to regain her former advantageous position or better. In this from what can be learned, she will have the good wiskes and active support of a large number of people who want to see her win first prize. Fifth position is held toâ€"day by Miss Sadie McMillan, who was in the same place last week. While Miss McMillan‘s relative! position has not improved, she has neyvertheless accomplished splendid results in her efâ€" forts and has succeeded in keeping herself well within striking distance of top place. Her friends are confident she will yet go higher in the standing and without disclosing any of Miss McMillan‘s plans and expectations, it may be stated that the confidence of her friends rests on a see mingly second basis. It won‘t do to overlook the youngest participant in the Review Conâ€" testâ€"Miss Grace Vollet. Miss Grace didn‘t make a very promisiug start in the contest, but last week her efforts began to bear fruit, with the result that she secured a good many thousand votes and forged ahead of several other contestants who had apparently outstripped her in the race. With the knowledge now that she can get votes as well as any one else. Grace is an enthusiastic worker and there is every reason to expect that she will make a good showing before the contest comes to a close, The standing : Mrs, Flora McLean, Durham.... .... .... .211,000 votes Miss Jennic Adams, Holstein.... ...... .. . 209,000 votes Miss Clara Ritchie, Durham........ .... .202,000 votes Miss Nellie Atchison, Dromore...... ... .. 200,000 votes Miss Sadie McMillan, R R 2, Priceville.....176,000 votes Miss Grace Vollett, Durham .... .. .. ...... 61,000 votes Miss Annie McDonald, Durham. .... . .. .. 54,000 votes Mrs E. A difference of nine thousand votes is not a material disadvantage as has already been proven by several contestants Who have OVercome erantor AiMarammen "1.\ qs FIUYVHR Miss Jennie Adams of Holstein has also made upward progress since last week when she occupied third iposition,. _ Doubtless she as well as a great number of her friends would have liked to see her name at the top of the list aud for that, of course, no one can blame them. _ The fact may or may not have significance as regards the future standing of contestants but it is worth considering that each week since the names of contestants have been published, Miss Adams has steadily raised her name higher in the list and if she continues progress in the same manner she has but one step higher to make, Whether or not Miss Adams makes this one step, depends of course upon her own efforts and the assistance she receives from her friends, â€" and â€" the results accomplished by other eontestants. Upon one point however there can be no doubt and that is that Miss Adams will make the effort. _p paf, L 13 10 3 ", L 105¢ lower down in the standing will not overtake ’;ner before the end of the contest. _A few long term subscriptions would enable any contestant to make a wonderful improvement in her prospects within a few days. _ Aud, of course, it is always possible that some of the "trailers" will get some of these big subscriptions . The most notable change among the positions of contestants since last week has been made by Mrs. Flora McLean who heads the list toâ€"day, but who last week was only fourth in the standing. _ Such a sudden improveâ€" ment in her position is highly creditable to any contestant and shows very plainly that Mrs McLean has been doing most effective work, Toâ€"day‘s leader has a veritable host of friends who will be delighted that she has temporarily at least, attained the position which they regard her as being capable of holding and the fact that she is now in the forefront will doubtâ€" less win her support from some hitherto lukewarm friends who may have been dubious of her chances of success. Looking at the figures indicating the standing of it is admittedly a most dificult task for anyone t who is to be the winner of first prize in the Review V. from toâ€"day. While seyeral changes in the relativ engaged in the work of gathering in votes, has take: were last published, no one at present has any di race, and five ladies now stand so close together work, as to which of the five will win, can be indul act none of the five has enough votes to her credit kummg that some of shose lower down in the stan er before the end of the contest. _ A few long te enable any contestant to make a wonderful impro within a few days. _ Aud, of course, it is always p ‘trailers" will get some of these big subscrintions" Miss Jennie Adams of Holggfi attains Contestants are closely bunchad and Mrs. Flora McLean Takes the s cten Lead in Review Voting Contest ntestants are closely bunched and some of those lower down the list are still in the race and going strong.
