In spite of the threatening skies the Glenelg Contre Garden Party at the home of Mr Jas McGillivary Sr. was as usual a success. _ A large erowd gathered and if the early part of the evening bad heen dry the larâ€" gest crowd yet gathered on this vecasion would hbave been present. As it was it was one of the most sucâ€" eessful garden parties the Centre has ever had. Everybody seemed to. enjoy the evening from beginning to end. â€" The first part of the evening was made lively by a game of laâ€" crosse played by the Darham boys ard at the elose of the gamo the crowd were led back to the lawn by the youthful piper,‘ Mr. Angus Meâ€" Donald of Toronto. _ Angus who is only yet in his teens is one of Toronâ€" to‘s best pipers, hbaving started to play when only 7 years of age, No torm of entertainment could have pleased the Scoteh present more and the sound of the pibroch on a samâ€" mer evening was pleasing to those of other nationalities as well. After those present had done jusâ€" tice to the well laden supper tables‘ the best program ever giyen at this garden party was heard and enjoyâ€" ed. Rev. Mr. Wylie in his pleasant style made it plain to all that he wouldn‘s be anything but Scoteb. Mr H. H. Miller, ex M. P., who has never taken in Glenelg Centre Garâ€" den Party before made an interesting address which was much appreciatâ€" ed. Mr Ramage of the Review, Mr. Andrew Derby of Hanover, Mr. John A Grabam, all combined wit and wisdom in their addresses. The home choir under _ the able leaderâ€" ship otf Mr (Geo. The pibroch rang out at intervals and Mr McDonald will be a most welcome guest at the Centre garden parties in the futare if he can be indused to come again.
