Their mother passed her 102 birthday. Mr Morrison lived on the farm on 11th con, till 1904 and has since been in Holstein. The wri- ter has some pleasant memories of interviews with deceased whose knowledge of Scotland included our home county. He was Liber- al in politics, a kindly neighbor, swarm friend and a good citizen. lie belonged to the Latter Day Saints body and Elder Perkins of Clavering conducted the mortu- ary services on Sunday last. The pall bearers were his son James, grandson Harold Morrison, John Scoon, Thos Hartnell,A1ex Ham. ilton, Wm G roat. Mrs. David Morrison and two children, Shelburne, Mr. John Scoon and daughter Mrs Walker, of Guelph and Mr and Mrs Hart- nell of Mich. were at the funeral. All the family were there except those in Montana, N. Dakota and Saskatchewan. He was born at Traquair, Peeb- leshire, Scotland, on 23rd August 1831, and came to Canada a Young man of 22, and after about a year looking around, settled Jn Egre- mont in 1854 on lot 7 con 11. Ten years later he married Miss Sar- ah Logan in Mt Forest, the min- ister being Rev. J. Hayes and to- gether they faced the duties of the pioneers, the while raising a large family of eleven children of whom nine remain with the mother to mourn a loving hus- band and father. The children surviving are ; Walter B.Morrison, Alpena,Micll. Libbie and Mrs. Alex. Hamilton, Holstein ; Mrs Hartnell, Cadillac, Mich; Mrs J. L. Johnston, Mon- tana; Mrs Frank Couey, N.
