Alexander Campbell of Toronto, died in the General Hospital there as the re- sult of bums austained when he fell into the grate in which a fire was burning, in a room at 3.15 Church street, wherein, it is alleged he and a companion had been drinking heavily all evening. The acci- dent scattered coals from the fire which started a blue in the room. Little dam. age was done. the lost: being set at about 850. and the blaze was quickly extinguish- ed by the firemen, who, upon their arrival found Campbell lying on the Mor with the clothing above his waist nearly all burned OH. and his body horribly blistered and scorched. himself betore the tiames had enveloped him --Globe.
