Mr McKinnon was leader in olden times of the praise part of the service of the Presbyterian church here and down at the Durham Road in time of the late Rev Chas Cameron and Rev D McLeod. Mr McKinnon often took his we, who was unable to walkfar, in a lum “vegan and the old oxen. A young man to-day would find plenty of excuses from taking his mother in a lumber wagon. The father and son like Saul and Jana- than spent a happy and pleasant life together and although their graves are very far apart, in death they are not separated, for it is hoped that father and son were again pleasantly joined where there is no war nor sickness of any kind. To the bereaved family the many friendsin this vicinity send con- dolence in their sad bereavement. One of the largest authoring: ever seen in town, was this Tuesday afternoon, 3rd May, the occasion being the funeral of the late Mr Neil McKinnon .who died at his ruidonce in Toronto. Al the Editor was present we will not say much on the sad occasion. However as the deceased and the writer grew up in familiarity since the days of their youth. Consequently we feelit a duty to say a little about his life in the many years we |havo associat- ed with one another. Mr McKinnon's father and mother ter a few years were residents on lot li con t, south Durham Road, Glenelg and from thence moved to Egremont. Of a family of six brothers and three sisters. only one brother Hugh, B.
