Lovely weather this Monday moreâ€" ing and everyone buey at the harvect which isn‘s up to much. ___ In our first beading it was ‘Darbam Road Items‘ bat as our lot had been cast southward, we thougbht a change ‘would be necessary, so we headed our correspondence ‘"Priceville and locality"" for some time and now its ‘‘Priceville and Limits." In look ing b:ck we find very few, if any of those who reached the half century mark, 43 years on the Darham Road or in Pricevilie. _ Aod the youngsters of that time are now getting fast on the decline. But time pssses on, irâ€" respective of the passing cf cur years. _ Fortyâ€"three years ago there was no such a conyeyance as an auâ€" tomobile and those going along the Durhem Road in a ovvered buggy were looked upin as a different class of people to these going on foot to their different places ot worshbip. Itis forty three years since we started corresponding to the Review and during that time we served undâ€" er four editors, viz: Jos. Townsend and Chas McArtbur, both gone to their reward, and Ben Townsend and the present editors, Messrs Ramage and Son. In giving a backward look we almost imagine that the years gone past are notsonumerous as they really are. Thesenioreditcrat presâ€" ent was in the prime of youth while the junior editor bad no intention ot landing in the town of Darhem for a number of years. However as if told that this was a land flowing with milk and honey, he obeyed the call ‘"come and see" and found that Durâ€" bam anod the surronnding eountry was a pleasant place to cast his lot and we wish him success as editor tiil hereaches the age of his good father.
