Names of the new cabinet are already being discussed W. S. Fielding being everyone's lavoritefor the Ministry of Finance. Ernest La Pointe of Quebec isanother likely Minister, and even Mt ‘Creraris mentioned as Minister of rail- ‘ways. Thisisin line with the hint we "ave last week, that Mr King might do ' worse than offer Mr Crerar a position ! We press another point, and that isthat Geo P. Graham be not left out. Then i" a Ministry of Public Health is created as has been talked of, we suggest the I name of A ~e C Mc-l as a suitable per- son. This party is abundantly dowered with health and hasthe requisite energy g to fulfil its duties. Grey has the honor at electing the only woman to the new ftp parliament. The victory of the South East Grey Progressive candidate, Miss Agnes C. l McPhail, marks the advent of the first ‘Canadian women to the Commons, an epoch in Canadian history and a climax in the advancement of equal rights for women. Miss McPhail is an orator of merit. is well versed in the science of politics, is a thinker of decided opinions and capable of taking her place worthily among the gentlemen of the Federal parliament. In the election Miss Mc. Phail was the winner by an easy majority Her impression of law making will be eagerly awaited by both men ard wo- men and it is hoped the women may be . encouraged to share in the governing of our country and insure an economical and just system in home life the wo- men meet many difficulties and problems and so they learn to decide wisely,_to save time and money and to improvise 'new methods.
