Edge Hill Won 2nd Round Debate from Ebenezer On Wednesday â€" evening, â€" January 27th, the second of the series of Inâ€" terCounty debates wa# held in the Ebenezer school. It was splendidly attended, for most of the young peoâ€" ple have become keenly interested. The subject of the debate was: "Resolved that the Prison System should be changed so as to make it Reformative, not Punitive." Miss A. McKechnie and Mr. H. Miâ€" Donald of Edge Hill upheld the afâ€" firmative, while Miss Reta Bailey and Mr. W. Grierson defended the negaâ€" tive side. Mr. J. Paiterson of Han over was the sole judge, and gave his decisfon in favor of the affirmative side.
