After 5 minutes play, Clements shot, the ball hitting the upright and bounced in. It was a pretty shot. giving Szembre no chance to save. A few minutes later an unfortunate affair happened when Thomas, centre half of Ayton, and formerly or Holstein club, collided with Clements and had his left leg badly sprained. He was replaced by Eidt and the game resumed. Play speeded up and Seim on an individ- ual rush scored for Ayton and even- ed the score. Half time ended with the score l-l.
