Lou: Mother by Death The death took place Monday, Nov. 29th. on the 12th (on. Sullivan I‘p., of Mrs Jas. Richmond. at the age ot 74 years. She Is the mother of Mrs John Grierson of Aberdeen, and has been ailing for about two years. as a result of a paralytic stroke, and death was not unexpect- ed. She had gone West only in October to visit her two sisters there. and taking ill, was removed to hospital, where rile died after a brief illness from an internal ailment. Her maiden name was Kate McArthur. and she was a first cumin of Mr Dan McArthur of the Durham Roal, Glenelg. while her hus- band who predeceased her 32 years ago. Was a cousin of Mr Malcolm Mc. Innes, Gleneliz. She was a frequent visitor at the home ot' her sister~in- law, Mrs Duncan McDonald, when the latter lived west of Pricevilie, before removing to Alberta. Her only brother. John McArthur or Calgary, accompanied the remains, which were brought out for interment, and arrived Wednesday in Durham at Bell's undertaking parlors. Hold Social High in Honor of two Members In honor or the two South Grey members, Miss A. C. MacPhail, ALP. and F. R. Oliver, M. P. P., the six 1'. F. o. Clubs in the district surround- ing Durham, staged a. grand social night and dance in the Town Hall Tuesday evening. from 7.30 to 10.00 p.m., the crowd of about 500, gathered in from all directions, and young and old filled " to capacity.
