The Swinton team had much the betâ€" ter end of the game, but Ayton had a man in the goal who would persist in standing in the way and was kept busy as he was constantly bombardâ€" ed with good shots. He succeeded in clearing all but one. Friday ev‘g, this week, Holstem lads come to Swinton. We expect this to be interesting as this is the first league game ever played here. Both teams are on the same footing, both one goal ahead of Ayton and beaten by 0. Sound and are now playing for second place. Line, Glenelg, and since has practiâ€" cally spent all his life in Priceville and vicinity. About 10 years agohe moved to Priceville where, in his deâ€" clining years, he has enjoyed more leisure and respite from farm cares. Six children survive with wife and mourn his loss, viz : Angus, Cleveâ€" land ; Hector, near by ; John, of Durham ; Alex. of Toronto ; Janet, (Mrs Norman Meclntyre) and Niss Mary at home. Deceased‘s wife was formerly Miss Annie McKinnon, a daughter of the late Hector McKinâ€" non. Mr MacEachern is the last memâ€" ber of a family of one sister and two brothers. There Aied at Priceville, oa Monâ€" day, June 6th, the well known figure of Roger MacEachern in his T7th year. For the past two years he has been unwell from a nervous affection and inward trouble, but not until the last three weeks did he take to his bed. To the last he received the best of care and attention at the hands of his wife and daughter Mary. The late Mrâ€" MacEachern has aiâ€" ways been held in highest respect and esteem by his neighbors and friends, and his passing snaps anothâ€" er link with early days and condiâ€" tions. _ Deceased was a Presbyterian in religion and under its auspices will be laid to rest this Wednesday afternoon.
