Mr Gileff, New Zealand, who has been taking a post graduate course in Edinburgh, and on his way home, took the services in Holstein and Fairbairn, Sunday. He has spent six weeks at Knox College, Toronto, and has been taking services at difâ€" ferent places in Canada. In the evenâ€" ing he gave a most interesting talk on his homeland, New Zealand. He reports hundreds of acres of grain still standing in stook, also some to cut yet. Mr Jack Legaté Jr arrived home from Sarnia the first of week. After an extended visit with Colâ€" lingwood friends, Mrs Jas. B Tucker returned the first of week. Rev C S Ingraham held service in the Hall Sunday afternoon, returning to Toronto same evening.. Mr Harvey Willams came up from Guelph recently and is recuperating at home. Remember the plowing match on Tuesday next. We hope the weather will be favorable. A presentation is being tendered Mr and Mrs D. Hooper this Wednesâ€" day evening. The Dromore branch W. Institute, met on Oct. 3rd at home of Miss M. Taylor. There were 35 ladies present at the meetng. After business the members were addressed by Mss Flett of Mt Forest on plant life, and proved most interesting. Many quesâ€" tions were asked by the ladies presâ€" ent and much knowledge gained aâ€" bout flowers and plants of all kind‘s. Miss Flett invited all the ladies to visit the greenhouse in Mt Forest, sometime in November. At this meeting there was a showâ€" er of fruit and pickles donated to Durham hospital, about 30 jars beâ€" ing given.
