) i Mr Everett Rawn left Monday to visit his brother Fred in Detroit. Misses Edith and _ Ethel Hunt, teachers, are home for the holidays. Mr Alvin Dowling spent the week end at his home here. The L. B Xmas Tree was fine, al tho‘ the attendance on account of much sickness, was lessened, _ The program was good and the things Santa distributed were lovely and as per usual, all had a good time. School closed Friday without any program. _ The teacher treated the pupils to fruit and caAdy. cheer A letter received here from Mrs. John Eurig, who is visiting friends in California, gives a tivid descripâ€" tion of the beautiful places she had seen. They say it is hard to put on a good concert when there is so much "fMu" around, yet all who took in Miss E Oliver‘s Christmas concert in Dromore, last Friday night speak very highly of it and what everybody says must beâ€"right. The only thing missing was the orchestra. We think they should let the teacher know they were not coming, as there were musicians in the audience that could play equally as well, and willing to do so, if they had known in time. As Dromore corresp. will likely report the event, we will ring off. Mr John Legate lost a valuable horse last week. We wish editor, staff and all 1 ers of the Review, a very happy Prosperous New Year. Mr and Mrs J M. Allan are spendâ€" ing Christmas week at Caledon East, also Toronto, We think Tom took the largest sleighload to Amos Church Christmas Tree. Santa Claus was there and had a cheery ‘howâ€"areyou‘ for every scholar, also wished them a Merry Christmas, yet none of them asked him how Mrs Claus was. Miss Belle Lothian is spending ovâ€" er Christmas and New Years with relatives at Ayr. Mr John Legate has rented his farm to Mr Wm Moore.
