All four had failed at the last examina- tion, and as Mr McLellan was known as a good flrgt<eiatgt, teacher, after at- tending six months all passed at the exam. at Owen Sound in July. Mr. McLellan had a good faculty of im- parting his knowledge to his pupils. The four scholars boarded at our old home, some 20 rods from the school house.
