We in the Park and surrounding country, are about to enjoy a fowl supper and free entertainment, to be proviced by the kind ladies, for the men of all colors, old and young, who worked so faithfully for the compleâ€" tion of the new sheds of the church. On Sunday next, Rev Mr Mills of Dundalk, will conduct the services in Swinton, while Rev Mr Stewart will occupy the pulpits in Dundalk and Ventry, in the interests of the Budâ€" get. We are enjoying this fine weather to the full. _ There was a rush for a time with the fall work, but is now being well advanced. So it is rest for the weary and many are enjoying little trips and visits with friends. Miss Berta Aldcorn, matron of Brampton hospital, paid a visit with two other nurses, to the home of her parents here Sunday. They were conâ€" veyed here by a Mr Gowland, grandâ€" son of the man by that name, who used to live here years ago. Provision is now made to prevent any further damage to abutments. Foundation is laid for the new mill, which is being brought from Laurisâ€" ton, known as Baird‘s mill. The Mcâ€" Arthur boys are hustlers, shoving the work at great expense. A large â€" turâ€" bine wheel is already installed, givâ€" ing more power with less waste of water than formerly, so it is said and hoped. A record substantial job has been made of the new dam here. _ The ccurse of the river has been straightâ€" encd anu dug up by the steam shovel and thrown upon the embankment, filling in a hole, said to be 15 feet in depth, dug out by former torrents. Tho well drilled on the farm of Mr 3. E. McGllivray by Mr Ed Pratt, was completed in record time, to a depth of 106 ft, 9 inches and now a handsome windmill is erected and provision made for a large cement tank, to hold supply for a calm. Mr J. P. McGillivray, accompanied by sisterâ€"inâ€"law, Miss Wilena Binnie, attended service at St Columba on Sunday. Everybody is eligible to enter conâ€" test. Come in and get entry sheets and write a short essay on this wonderful lamp. No coupons. _ Time expires on Nov. 29th. The results will be announced on Dec. 6th and the Lamp handed to the successful contestant. We congratulate Mr Lachie McKinâ€" non and Miss Phoebe Livingstone, who were married Thursday in Toronâ€" to. Alladin Lamp Given Away Free On Thursday night Mr and Mrs A.
