For many years "Government Jud- gcs" have been available to agricul- tural Societies at a very nominal charge. For reasons of economy this service has been withdrawn for this year at least, according to J. A. Car. roll, Sup't ot Agricultural Societies. Assistance will be given to some fairs in the north, but no judges will be provided in old Ontario. As there are capable and experienced judges in almost every community, this should not prove a. hardship. It might be considered wise to select judges from a neigboring county in most cases. We understand some of our citizens are preparing a tennis court in the Park. The sport will be much enjoy- ed by old as well as young citizens.
