David Croll, minister of public welfare to write to the minis- ter expressing opposition to the pro- posed change and to take the matter up with the local members of the Legislature. OLD AGE PENSIONERS _ IN GREY COUNTY ' Grey County Council is opposed to any change in the present old age pensions legislation. This {act was brought out clearly on Friday after- noon, when a report ot the Old Age Pension Board requested the opinion of the Council on a letter received from Milbrook. Ont., regarding this change. The Grey County Council} went on record as flatly opposed to the proposed change, reported in the press. whereby local boards would be abolished and the applicants would come before Judges or magistrates. The Council also was of the opinion that no change whatever was needed in the present system. l Reeve MacDonald made a motion which was seconded by Reeve Dawn, setting forth that no committee should in future increase or de- crease the salaries of omeisls ap- pointed by by-law without the sp- proval of the County Council.
