Rimage, who are a tintuteial resume ot the past year. 1936 taxes collected were $28,826.61, over $1,000 more than last year, but with an Increased rate, the pereisnt- age paid to Dec. 15th, 8'2.5, was about the same. Good work had been done. (in rollecting arrears the past year, $495.93 of arrears previous to 1935 ihaving been paid in, out of $6,900 owing. With $7,052.13 of 1936 taxes yet unpaid, total arrears are now 813280, which its about $500 less than at this time last year. Relief costs were about $500 less than last year, and hospital accounts paid $1000 less, but increases of over $900 in County Rate and $800 for High School had to be levied tor this year. The treasurer urged that all ratepay- ers make earnest "ort to pay taxes promptly, thus avo'ding penalties and increasing interest. The only other nominee for Mayor and reeve Kas eat-mayor W. H. Kress, who declined to stand for either omce. Others nominated for Councillors were A, S. Hustle, Roy Lawrence. W. J. McFadden, Robert Campbell. John Henry, J. C. Howell Herb.
